CPA Board of Ambassadors Recruitment - January 24
Are you interested in joining the CPA Board of Ambassadors for the 2014-2015 academic year? Consider this opportunity!
The CPA Board of Ambassadors are expected to possess an in-depth understanding of the designation and program, attend CPA meetings throughout the year, promote and execute events on campus, secure sponsorships with university clubs, and and act as the liaison between students and the professional accounting body.
Top accounting students entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study will be considered. Applicants must be full-time students interested in obtaining a CPA designation upon graduation. A minimum 70% average is required. Selection will also be based on the candidates' demonstration of leadership, effective communication skills, strong public-speaking and the ability to plan and promote events.
Interested students must complete an application package that consists of the following documents: (1) Application form (2) Resume (3) Transcript (4) Reference Letter from university faculty/staff or a previous employer (5) One-page essay explaining why you are interested in the position and why you believe you are qualified for the role. In order to be considered, all of the 5 requirements must be submitted as 1 PDF document to Jose Bermudez at jbermud2@uwo.ca on or before January 24, 2014.
Pre-screening interviews with the current CMA and ICAO Ambassadors will take place at the end of the month. Final interviews will take place throughout February at the CPA Ontario and CMA Ontario offices.
