Craig Boydell died on April 26, 2023, three days before his 80th birthday. Craig joined the Faculty of Social Science in 1969. During his time there he was a professor in the Department of Sociology where he helped build the graduate program and the criminology and criminal justice stream. As Director of Special Programs for the Faculty of Social Science, he was pivotal in launching the very successful DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies (formerly BMOS, initially ACS Administrative and Commercial Studies).  Craig then joined the Kinesiology, now part of the Faculty of Health Sciences, where he coached the JV team before becoming the Assistant and then very successful Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team. As a final and rewarding cap to his career, he created and taught an experiential seminar on Sport and Community Service for senior athletes. Craig is survived by his wife, Ingrid Arnet Connidis (Professor Emerita, Department of Sociology), his children, Michael, Patrick, Kai, and Nora, and his extended family
