MOS 3595 Global Sustainability Practices in Marketing
This Winter term course, co-developed with the Vienna University of Economics and Business, will be offered in Vienna in May 2024 and is open to all MOS students.

The Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) is the largest university focusing on business, management and economics in Europe. It has been ranked as one of the best business schools in Europe and received Triple accreditation.
This international experiential course is taught in a blended format: The first two weeks will be online, and the following two weeks will be in person at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). Students from both Western and WU will learn collaboratively from both Western and WU faculty, interacting with the history, culture, and business community in Austria.

Students must be in good standing in DAN Management, and must have met the prerequisites.


Students MAY NOT take ANY other course during the same period as this course is offered. Doing so will result in a grade of zero for this course.

Prerequisite(s): MOS 2320A/B or MOS 3320A/B and enrollment in 3rd or 4th year of BMOS.

Students must have a minimum cumulative average of 60% to apply.

Course offered: MOS 3595 - Global Sustainability Practices in Marketing
This course introduces principles of sustainability in the global marketplace. The focus is on an international experiential approach to building knowledge and critical thinking skills to evaluate the role of marketing in creating, facilitating, and communicating sustainable marketing activities, including barriers for sustainable consumption practices and tools to overcome them.
