Biography

Maria has been a lecturer for the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies since 2006.  Prior to joining the department, she spent over 16 years in the private sector, gaining experience in diverse industries such as manufacturing and  hospitality. She has developed and taught a wide range of courses for the department predominantly in the Accounting specialization. Her main areas of expertise are in management accounting , performance management and occupational fraud.

Maria is passionate about students having an international experience during their undergrad so has established and coordinates annually the DAN Management Semester Abroad program.  A unique faculty led program where a group of 3rd year DAN students, study for a term at Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands.  Students take a combination of Western and Radboud courses and participate in field trips and cultural activities.
