Supply chain management; Radio frequency identification (RFID)

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a wireless technology that is capable of identifying individual items and automatically capturing their data. RFID promises many benefits in supply chain management over the existing bar code technology.

I am interested in the long-term impact of RFID technology on supply chain management. My current research focuses on theory development in the following areas:

- Strategic value of RFID
- RFID adoption drivers
- Impact of RFID on small businesses
The industries of my interest include:

- Retail
- Pharmaceutical
- Apparel
