Specialization

After first, second or third year, to enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION, Main Campus students must have

a) achieved an overall average of 70% on the last 5.0 courses;
b) a cumulative average of 65%

Program Admission is assessed in May of each year during the Adjudication period and based on the student's Intent to Register request submitted in March.

After first, second or third year, in order to transfer into a BMOS SPECIALIZATION, Affiliated College students (ie: Brescia, Huron, or King's) must have:

a) achieved an overall average of 70% on the last 5.0 courses;
b) a cumulative average of 70%

Program Admission is assessed in May of each year during the Adjudication period and based on the student's Intent to Register request submitted in March.

To remain in a BMOS SPECIALIZATION students must have

a) maintained a minimum cumulative average of 65%

If a student fails to meet this requirement, they will have to achieve re-admission.

If a student is unsuccessful in progressing in the BMOS program because their cumulative overall average falls below 65%, they will be required to obtain re-admission to the program.  To be re-admitted, a student must: 

a) achieve an overall average of 70% on 5.0 courses taken while out of BMOS;
b) achieve a cumulative average of 65%

NOTE: Students not currently in the MOS program are reviewed for re-admission during the Adjudication period held in May based on their request on their Intent to Register. 

Students who have had significant documentable grounds for consideration may submit a formal Appeal to the Undergraduate Chair. The deadline for appeal is June 30 and this deadline is strictly enforced. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.

To graduate from the BMOS SPECIALIZATION, students must achieve a minimum cumulative average of 65% on the 20.0 courses counted towards the BMOS SPECIALIZATION Degree. Students with advanced standing must achieve an overall average of 65% on courses completed at Western.

All students require 2.0 designated essay courses (E, F or G; at least 1.0 of which must be a senior course numbered 2000-4999) and 1.0 course from each of the Categories A, B and C.
