Program Information

When you apply to the MMASc Program, you choose one of two academic streams based on a combination of your academic background- Applied Science or Social Science.

The day-to-day academic term is a core management curriculum, enhanced with graduate level courses specific to your stream. As collaborative projects are common across most subjects, your days will consist of both classes and team driven projects with your classmates. You will gain management skills in Marketing, Accounting, Leadership, Finance, Organizational Behaviour and Project Management.

This program is full-time and in-person on campus. Students are expected to dedicate full time hours to both classroom time and class assignments (~40 hours a week).

MMASc Program Timeline

Applied Sciences Stream

Today’s competitive job market demands specific skill sets for applied scientists. Over the course of 12 months, you will develop these skills and collaborate with students and industry partners to develop your industry-specific skillset. For example, leveraging your medical/health science degree with new management skills, you can position yourself to lead teams in pharmaceutical sales/marketing, manage projects in healthcare settings and/or become a business analyst providing data-driven insights in a wide range of industries.

Social Sciences Stream

The MMASc is also designed to enhance your undergraduate education in the social sciences by layering this with a graduate management degree. Imagine leveraging your undergraduate degree in Geography and Environment with management expertise to position yourself for a career in the urban development for future cities. Or combining the knowledge you have gained in I/O Psych with MMASc to better lead, motivate and manage people in large organizations.

In today’s competitive job environment this will better position you for career success! Our 12-month program allows you to go deeper with your social science discipline, as well as develop core management skills through academic studies and collaboration with students and industry partners.
