Congratulations on winning 3rd in the "Battle on Bay" Competition
The DAN Case Competition Team placed third at the Ryerson University Finance Society’s “Battle on Bay” finance valuation competition held in Toronto, February 8-9, 2014. The competition required teams from seven universities in Canada to determine a fair market value for two companies and convince a panel of judges to choose one company to buy equity in. Each team then had to solve a public relations challenge by pitching ideas to the Board of Directors of one of the companies to solve a security breach.
The DAN Management Team consisted of (from left to right) Kaushik Mehta (3rd year Consumer Behavior), Anant Vijay (4th year Finance), Hilary Tong (4th year Finance, and Patrick Brennan (4th year Finance). The team won $1000 in cash and a trophy, which will soon be on display on the 4th floor display case outside the DAN offices and the south elevators.
