Johanna Weststar involved with a public forum on Game Labour Issues

DAN Management professor Johanna Weststar will be a featured panelist in an upcoming public forum with game developers, media work researchers and digital labour activists to discuss working conditions and social inequalities in the video games industry and strategies to improve working conditions in digital media. This event will launch "Contested Formations of Digital Game Labor", a special issues of the journal Telecvision & New Media, currently freely available as an open-access publication. Weststar's article (with co-author Marie-Josée Legault) traces the history of collective action among game developers as a means of workplace resistance.
