Dr. Yini Liu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies at the University of Western Ontario since 2020.   Professor Liu achieved her Ph.D. degree in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, United States.  Dr. Liu's primary research field is empirical corporate finance with a focus on private equity offerings, seasoned equity offerings and IPOs, and entrepreneurial finance.  Her other research areas include law and finance, and corporate governance.   Her research articles have been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.  She is currently the PI of the SSHRC grant "Sustainable finance, policy uncertainty, and corporate efficiency".  She received Dancap Private Equity Faculty Research Award and Faculty of Social Science Research Award at UWO, and Keith Fairchild Teaching Award at UTSA.  Professor Liu currently teachers MOS 3311 Advanced Corporate Finance.
