Timelines & Recruitment
Western's DAN Management Internship Program offers employers flexibility regarding recruitment timelines and activities. We do not utilize a rank-and-match system, meaning you may post, interview, and extend offers without restriction.
2024-2025 Internship Recruitment Dates
- 2024-2025 student cohort can start January, May or September 2025
- Work terms are 8 - 16 months in length
- Students have completed at least 3 years of full-time studies; students return to school to complete their final year of study in September 2026.
Recommendations for Recruitment
The following dates are recommendations for ensuring a positive and successful recruitment experience. If you have required dates that fall outside of these recommendations, please let us know (hiresocialsci@uwo.ca) and we would be happy to discuss.
- September 27, 2024: Postings go live to students
- October 13, 2024: Earliest possible application deadline
- October 14, 2024 - August 15, 2025: Continuous interview & offer and acceptance period
- August 8, 2025: Final application deadline for 2024-2025 recruitment cycle
Other Dates to Keep in Mind
- Fall Reading Week: October 12 - 20, 2024
- Fall Exams & Holiday Closure: December 9, 2024 - January 6, 2025
- Winter Reading Week: February 15 - 23, 2025
- Final Exams: April 7 - 30, 2025
Job Postings: Postings accepted annually from November to mid-August on Western Connect or email: HireSocialSci@uwo.ca with your postings.
Interviews: To arrange interviews, please fill out the Interview Request Form or email: interviews@uwo.ca. If you choose to contact students directly, please notify hiresocialsci@uwo.ca of the selected candidate.
Offers: We will present employment offers right away to students, with a 48 hour response time. Internship job offers are submitted through our Job Offer Form.
